INDIVIDUAL
Open enrollment for Individuals and families generally runs from November 1st through December 15th. Sometimes a state will extend this period, for example California’s open enrollment is from November 1st through January 31st. If you enroll by December 15th , your effective date is January 1st; If you enroll after December 15th, then your effective date is February 1st, however, if enrolling after January 15th, your plan will be effective March 1st.
GROUP
Group products include, but are not limited to, Medical, Ancillary (Dental / Vision), Supplemental, Life,
Disability, FSA, HRA, and HSA plans. The enrollment process begins with compilation of an accurate
employee census, and then reviewing quotes and deciding on what plans will be offered in the benefits
package. Once that is accomplished the enrollment may commence either by paper applications, or an
online process. We are here to Assist every step of the way.
MEDICARE
If turning 65, or under 65 and on disability for 24 months, you may be eligible for Medicare parts A
and/or B, and if so may wish to enroll in a Medicare Supplement. These plans cover Medicare eligible
expenses over the limit of what original Medicare covers—approximately 80%. Medicare Supplements
come in multiple shapes and sizes; we will help you sort through the options and bring clarity to your
choices.
OTHER SERVICES
Occasionally someone comes to us for consulting on Business Start-up, Human Resources, Complex
Claims Resolution, or something else business and Insurance related. We will do our best to advise or
refer when it makes sense to do so.
